An endocrinologist is a doctor who has special training to diagnose and treat disorders involving the endocrine system. The endocrine system is made up of a group of organs called endocrine glands, which include the adrenals, pancreas, parathyroid, pituitary, ovaries, testes and thyroid. These glands produce hormones and push them into the bloodstream.
