The National Relay Service is available to help callers who are d/Deaf, or find it hard to hear or speak to hearing people on the phone.
The Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS National) is available (24 hours, 7 days) for callers who speak other languages. Call 131 450.
Costs
ACD is free for the first year. Thereafter there is a fee. Contact the service before you attend if you would like more information about cost.
Calls to ACD are charged at the cost of a local call.
Calls from mobile phones may be charged at a higher rate.
Tip
ACD support enables you to better advocate for your child and family. Advocacy is when you, or others, stand up for your rights or the rights of your child with a disability or, in some cases, a group of people.
